Escorts Kubota, a key player in the farm and construction equipment sector, recently announced the cancellation of its plans to establish a new manufacturing plant in Ghiloth, Rajasthan, citing significant hurdles in meeting essential project requirements despite an initial expression of interest and regulatory filings with RIICO. Despite committing a substantial investment of up to ₹4,500 crore aimed at expanding production capacity to double its annual domestic tractor output and introducing new engine and construction equipment lines, Escorts Kubota found Ghiloth unsuitable following a detailed assessment, prompting the withdrawal of their EOI.
